Hello!
I’m Heidi—a self-taught artist with an insatiable passion for color, pattern, and creativity. My artistic journey has been a winding path, shaped by years of exploring different mediums, but everything changed in 2016 when I stumbled upon Alcohol Inks. Their vibrant, fluid nature reignited my creative spark and opened the door to a world of abstract expression that I’ve loved sharing ever since.
While painting remains close to my heart, my passion has also grown into the world of surface pattern design. Inspired by the intricate beauty of nature—especially the ocean—I create patterns that bring tranquility, elegance, and energy to life. Whether it's the graceful sweep of a stingray or the delicate detail of a seashell, my designs aim to evoke a sense of wonder and connection to the natural world.
Over the years, my work has been recognized in exhibitions and competitions, from winning a Merit Award at Martini & Matisse in 2023 for "Wild Wonder" to earning First Place for "Citrine & Amethyst" at the Sterling Art Studios Masterpieces Juried Exhibit. One of my proudest moments was seeing my piece "Manta Rays" featured on the Hallmark show Home and Family.
I create out of my home studio in Dunedin, Florida, where I’m surrounded by my husband, occasionally our grown children, two pups, and the boundless inspiration of the coastal landscapes. My goal is to not just make art but to share beauty and joy—whether through a painting that speaks to the soul or a surface pattern that transforms everyday items into something extraordinary.
